SLETTVOLL MØBLER is a Norwegian company with its head office and production centre in the municipality of Stranda in Sunnmøre. The company was founded by husband and wife team Hans and Bergit Slettevoll in 1951 and has been owned by the family ever since. The company started off by making baskets and doll's prams, which were transported to the ferry by bicycle. In the 1980s, Slettvoll established itself as the leading manufacturer of abaca furniture in Scandinavia and in 1990 Slettvoll acquired the majority of shares in the Hole og Lillebø upholstery factory.

NCP has an extensive distribution network throughout Norway, and also exports to Sweden and Denmark. NCP still manufactures Bendt Winge's injection-moulded "Nordic plastic shell, around five million of which have been sold to date. This is a very high number in Norwegian terms. The chair is sold under the number R-48.
